Marathon Jam™ Announces 2025 Date for 12-Hour Music Benefit

Marathon Jam™, the North Carolina based non-profit organization focused on “healing through music” especially for injured military and first responder heroes and their families has announced that the next 12-hour music marathon benefit event will be held February 22, 2025, from Noon to Midnight at the American Legion Post 6 facility just outside of Chapel Hill, NC.

Dr. Charles Fields, Marathon Jam President, recently reported ... “With your help, Marathon Jam™ raised nearly $20,000 in 2024. This was highlighted by our annual Marathon Jam last February which has now continued for twenty-one years. As a result of donor generosity, we were able to make donations to the Fisher House locations in Camp LeJeune and Ft Bragg to support families visiting their loved ones at military hospitals there. Additionally, we were able to make donations to Camp Corral in support of military kids and NC Peer to Peer Support for First Responders.

This effort was followed by our continued support of biweekly music provided at the Kernersville VA Clinic, frequent participation at the Veteran’s Bridge Home Coffee events in High Point and the addition of biweekly music by our MJ Hospital Volunteers at the new NC State Veterans Home in Kernersville.

All musicians, singers and spectators are welcome to join in at the 12-hour Marathon Jam and fundraising benefit at the beautiful American Legion Post 6 facility. Those who participate for the full 12-hour music marathon will be awarded the coveted “Iron Picker” t-shirt after midnight. Musical participants are encouraged to bring their fundraising efforts to help the MJ achieve its annual goal of raising at least $20,000.
